1. What were the obstacles that would have prevented you from choosing/hiring Biddyco?

The first one is that it’s a huge risk to increase ad spend. We hadn’t been spending that much and we knew we were going to have to make a big financial commitment. Second, there was industry news and fear saying that social ad spend wasn’t getting as good return these days and that was really a big factor that was preventing me from starting, and I was also a bit worried about not having a company I can meet with in person since we’re in San Francisco and Biddyco is in LA.

2. What have you found as a result of hiring Biddyco?

Biddyco helped generate our biggest ever sales period. They’ve contributed to accelerated growth at a time where we didn’t think we could accelerate. We saw over a 3x return on ad spend across the whole time, including 3.75x return on ad spend during Q4. The first product that we launched with Biddyco, the Carter Everywhere Mug, has been our most successful product launch by far.

It’s really been very, very successful.

3. What specific feature or thing do you like most about Biddyco’s services?

Biddyco does an incredible job at mimicking our brand. They take it and spin it in new ways that work for ads. We just have to give them a folder of photos and they turn it into incredible creative ads for us.

The other two things I like are that we challenged Biddyco to take on Google ads as a sales channel as well and they’ve run with it and we’ve seen the most sales we’ve ever seen from search as a result with even better return on ad spend than we could possibly expect.

And the final thing is that working remotely has been a real positive. We’re not really hindered at all by the fact we can’t meet in-person regularly. And in fact we do video meetings every single week and we are able to keep on top from anywhere we might be. So it doesn’t matter at all that we don’t get to meet in person.
